Buondi is an iconic coffee brand with deep roots in Portugal. It was founded in 1986 by Montarroio, focusings on a lifestyle-oriented approach to coffee culture, specifically within the Portuguese espresso tradition. Its bold, intense profile quickly made it a staple in the country's cafes.
Today, Buondi is owned by Nestlé, the global food and beverage giant headquartered in Switzerland. While the brand has an Italian-sounding name to evoke espresso quality, it remains a proud Portuguese creation. Most of its production for the local market occurs at Nestlé's manufacturing facilities in Portugal, which exports to several other countries. These specific capsules are designed to be compatible with Nespresso machines, another brand within the Nestlé portfolio.
