Findus Äkta Majonäs is a classic mayonnaise brand that has been a staple in Swedish households since its launch in 1947. Originally developed by the Swedish company Findus, which was founded in Bjuv, Skåne, the brand became synonymous with high-quality frozen and preserved foods.

Today, while the brand remains a Swedish icon, its ownership and production have evolved. For the Swedish market, Findus mayonnaise is currently manufactured in Spain. The brand is owned by Nomad Foods, a major European frozen foods company headquartered in the United Kingdom. Nomad Foods acquired the Findus business in several European countries, including Sweden, in 2015 to strengthen its position as a market leader in the frozen food category.
