Boots is one of the most iconic British brands, founded in 1849 by John Boot in Nottingham, England. Originally a herbalist store, it grew significantly under his son, Jesse Boot, who transformed it into a modern retail giant specializing in pharmaceuticals, health, and beauty products. Over the decades, Boots became synonymous with high-quality healthcare and developed legendary product lines like No7 skincare.

In the early 21st century, the company underwent major structural changes, merging with Alliance UniChem in 2006 to form Alliance Boots. This was followed by a phased acquisition by the American retail pharmacy giant Walgreens, which was completed in 2014, leading to the formation of Walgreens Boots Alliance. Today, Boots remains a staple of the British high street, with its manufacturing and headquarters still significantly rooted in Nottingham, while being part of a global healthcare leader.
