Nestlé Black Magic

Black Magic is a classic brand of boxed chocolates that was originally launched in 1933 by the British confectioner Rowntree's. It was famously marketed as an affordable luxury, targetting consumers who wanted high-quality dark chocolates with a variety of fillings such as caramels, nuts, and creams. The brand became an iconic part of British chocolate culture throughout the 20th century.

In 1988, Rowntree's was acquired by the Swiss food conglomerate Nestlé, which brought the Black Magic brand under its global portfolio. While originally manufactured in York, England, production was later moved as part of Nestlé's manufacturing restructuring in the late 2000s. Today, Black Magic chocolates are produced in several locations across Europe, including facilities in the Czech Republic, though they remain a staple in the UK and Commonwealth markets.

The brand is currently owned by Nestlé S.A., one of the world's largest food and beverage companies headquartered in Vevey, Switzerland. Nestlé continues to maintain the product's identity as a premium dark chocolate selection, periodically updating the assortment while keeping the signature black box design that has remained distinctive for nearly a century.
