Hamilton Beach Brands is a storied American company that has been a staple in kitchens for over a century. Founded in 1910 in Racine, Wisconsin, by L.H. Hamilton and Chester Beach, the brand gained prominence by producing the first electric motor-driven drink mixer, which became an icon of the American soda fountain era. This spirit of innovation led to the development of a wide range of household products, from blenders and food processors to slow cookers and coffee makers.
While the brand was originally independent, it underwent significant corporate changes in the late 20th century. In 1990, it merged with Proctor-Silex to form Hamilton Beach/Proctor-Silex, Inc., which became a powerhouse in the small appliance market. Today, the brand is owned by Hamilton Beach Brands Holding Company, a publicly traded entity headquartered in Glen Allen, Virginia.
To maintain competitive pricing and global reach, the vast majority of Hamilton Beach manufacturing is now outsourced to partner facilities in China. Despite this shift in manufacturing location, the company maintains its design and engineering teams in the United States to ensure that the products remain aligned with the quality and functional standards that have defined the brand since its inception.
