Citroën is a historic French automobile brand, famously founded by André Citroën in 1919. The brand is renowned for its technical innovations, such as the Traction Avant, and for the iconic 'double chevron' logo which represents the helical gears André Citroën originally manufactured. The brand became a symbol of French engineering and mass production.

Over the decades, Citroën's ownership has evolved significantly. In 1976, it merged with Peugeot to form the PSA Peugeot Citroën group. More recently, in early 2021, a massive merger between PSA Group and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles led to the creation of Stellantis. Today, Citroën is one of the key brands under the Stellantis umbrella, which is one of the world's largest automotive groups.

While the brand's heart remains in France, its manufacturing footprint is truly global. Citroën vehicles and components are produced in various locations across Europe (including France, Spain, and Portugal), North Africa (Morocco), and through joint ventures in China to serve diverse international markets.
