Bosch vacuum cleaners, such as the red Zoo'o ProAnimal model pictured, have an heritage deeply rooted in German engineering. The Bosch brand was founded in Stuttgart in 1886 by Robert Bosch. While the company is globally recognized for automotive technology and power tools, its household appliances division is one of the most prominent in Europe.
Historically, Bosch household appliances were managed through a joint venture between Bosch and Siemens (BSH Hausgeräte GmbH). However, since 2015, the BSH group has been a 100% subsidiary of the Robert Bosch GmbH. Manufacturing for premium stick vacuums often occurs within specialized facilities in Germany to maintain strict quality standards, although some components and entry-level models are sourced from global manufacturing hubs. The brand remains under the ultimate ownership of the Robert Bosch Stiftung, a charitable foundation that holds the majority of the company's capital.
