The brand was originally founded by Henrik Winther-Olsen in 1989 at his family's farm, Toftkær, in Denmark. It was the first company to introduce tropical snacks like pistachio nuts and banana chips to the Danish retail market on a large scale.

Today, the brand is owned by The Whole Company Food A/S, a prominent Danish production company based in Køge. While the raw goji berries are typically sourced from global regions where they grow natively (such as the Himalayas or China), the final processing, quality control, and packaging are handled in Denmark at the company's own facilities.
