Solo is a legendary Norwegian orange-flavored soft drink that has been a staple of the country's beverage culture since its inception. Originally launched in 1934, it was inspired by a Spanish recipe brought to Norway by Torleif Gulliksen. The brand quickly became a national icon, often associated with Norwegian outdoor life, skiing, and Easter traditions. The 'Solo Super' variant shown in the image is the brand's sugar-free version, catering to health-conscious consumers without sacrificing the original pulp-rich flavor profile that distinguishes it from international competitors.
The brand has remained deeply rooted in Norway throughout its history. While it was originally managed by a joint consortium of several Norwegian breweries, it is now part of the Ringnes AS portfolio. Ringnes is Norway's largest brewery and beverage company, which in turn is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Carlsberg Group. Despite the international ownership by Carlsberg, Solo continues to be produced locally in Norway to maintain its authentic taste and heritage.
