Brana Spirits and Wines

Domaine Brana, often referred to as Maison Brana, is a prestigious artisanal producer located in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, in the heart of the French Basque Country. Founded in 1974 by Etienne Brana and his wife Adrienne, the brand initially specialized in high-quality fruit brandies, particularly its famous pear spirits (Poire William), before expanding into wine production in the Irouléguy AOC.

The manufacturing process remains deeply rooted in local tradition, with the fourth generation of the Brana family leading the distillery and vineyard. All spirit distillation and wine bottling occur on-site in France, utilizing local orchards and vineyards to maintain a distinct regional character. The brand is celebrated for its commitment to biodiversity and artisanal methods, such as utilizing copper stills for its distillation process.

Today, Maison Brana remains an independent family-owned business. It has successfully diversified its portfolio to include modern spirits like gin and whisky while preserving its heritage as one of the premier producers of traditional French spirits.
