Quechua is a major French brand specializing in hiking and camping equipment. Founded in 1997, it was created by the French sporting goods giant Decathlon. The brand's design headquarters are located at the foot of Mont Blanc in the Haute-Savoie region of France, where professional designers and engineers develop and test products in real mountain conditions.

Ownership of the brand remains with Decathlon S.A., which is a family-owned multinational retail corporation based in Villeneuve-d'Ascq, France. The Mulliez family holds the majority stake in the company. While the technical design takes place in Europe, Quechua products are manufactured across a global supply chain including factories in China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and India to ensure affordability and accessibility for outdoor enthusiasts worldwide.
