Napapijri is a premium Italian outdoor apparel brand that has become a staple of urban fashion. Founded in 1987 in Aosta, Italy, the brand's name is derived from the Finnish word for the Arctic Circle, and it famously uses the Norwegian flag as its logo to evoke the spirit of exploration and extreme conditions. Despite its Nordic themes and imagery, the brand is thoroughly Italian in its design roots.
While the brand started with high-tech travel bags, it gained global fame for its iconic rainforest and skidoo jackets. In 2004, the brand was acquired by the American apparel giant VF Corporation. Production today is distributed globally, with manufacturing facilities located in multiple countries across Asia and Europe to meet international demand while maintaining their technical standards.
