The Scott brand is a historic name in the paper goods industry, famously credited as the first to market toilet paper on a roll. Founded by brothers E. Irvin and Clarence Scott in Philadelphia in 1879, the Scott Paper Company grew to become a global leader in sanitary tissue products. They expanded their portfolio significantly over the 20th century, inventing paper towels in 1907 and standardizing the 1,000-sheet roll that remains a hallmark of the brand today.

In 1995, the Scott Paper Company merged with Kimberly-Clark Corporation in a multi-billion dollar deal. Since then, the brand has been a core part of Kimberly-Clark's consumer products division. While the brand originated in Pennsylvania, its manufacturing footprint is now extensive. In the United States, major production facilities are located in Chester, Pennsylvania; Jenks, Oklahoma; and Beech Island, South Carolina. Globally, Kimberly-Clark operates facilities in numerous countries to supply regional markets, making the production truly international.

Today, Scott continues to be one of the most recognizable brands for household necessities like toilet tissue, paper towels, and napkins. Its ownership under Kimberly-Clark ensures its distribution across more than 175 countries, maintaining its status as an essential household name since the late 19th century.
