Ahava was founded in 1988 in Israel, initially capturing the interest of tourists visiting the Dead Sea. The brand's identity is deeply rooted in the mineral-rich properties of the Dead Sea region, marketing skincare products based on sediment and minerals found in the area. It has since grown from a local boutique brand into a global leader in mineral-based cosmetics.
All Ahava products are manufactured in their facilities located on the shores of the Dead Sea in the West Bank. In 2016, the brand underwent a significant ownership change when it was acquired by the Chinese investment conglomerate Fosun International. Today, it operates as a key luxury asset within the Fosun Fashion Group (now known as Lanvin Group), though it maintains its research and development and manufacturing headquarters in Israel to preserve its heritage and product integrity.
