Today, Tooheys is produced by Lion, a major beverage and food company operating across Australasia. Lion itself is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kirin Holdings Company, Limited, a Japanese multinational corporation headquartered in Tokyo. Despite the international ownership, the beer continues to be brewed locally in Australia, primarily at the Tooheys Brewery in Lidcombe, New South Wales, ensuring it maintains its local manufacturing presence.
