Betânia is a traditional Brazilian dairy brand founded in 1971 in Ceará. It originally started as a producer of pasteurized milk and expanded to become the largest dairy company in the Northeast region of Brazil. The brand focuses on regional sourcing, many of its products being manufactured through a network of local family farms across several Brazilian states.
In 2022, Betânia Lácteos merged with Embaré to form Alvoar Lácteos. This merger created one of the largest dairy processors in South America. The company maintains a strong focus on high-quality dairy items including milk, yogurts, cheeses, and butter, utilizing manufacturing facilities primarily located in the Northeast and Southeast of Brazil.
