In August 2024, the Mexican multinational food giant Grupo Bimbo signed an agreement to acquire Wickbold, expanding its dominant presence in the South American bakery market. This acquisition includes the brands Wickbold and Seven Boys, as well as several manufacturing plants across Brazil.
