Fanatec is a leading brand in the sim racing industry, known for its high-end steering wheels, pedals, and wheel bases. The brand was founded in Landshut, Germany, by Thomas Jackermeier and quickly became a pioneer in direct-drive technology and licensed hardware for platforms like PlayStation and Xbox.
In recent years, Fanatec became the primary brand under the German corporation Endor AG. However, following financial restructuring and insolvency proceedings in 2024, the brand and its assets were acquired by the American peripheral giant Corsair Gaming. Today, while product design and engineering often retain their German roots, the manufacturing is largely outsourced to facilities in China to meet global demand and maintains its position as a premium tier manufacturer in the gaming hardware ecosystem.
