Originally established as EKB (Eduard Kummer Bettlach), the company initially focused on manufacturing parts for other watch manufacturers before launching its own brand, and later specializing in high-quality waterproof watches.

Throughout the mid-20th century, Atlantic became particularly famous in Central and Eastern Europe for its reliable mechanical watches, such as the iconic 'Worldmaster' series. The brand remains an independent Swiss entity, continuing to produce timepieces that emphasize traditional Swiss craftsmanship and horological heritage.

Today, Atlantic Watch SA remains headquartered in Lengnau, Switzerland. The brand maintains its status as an authentic Swiss-made product, with its manufacturing and assembly processes centered within the Swiss watchmaking heartland.
