Lapin Kulta, which translates to 'Lappish Gold,' is one of Finland's most historic and recognizable beer brands. Originally established in 1873 in Tornio, Finnish Lapland, the brand became famous for its crisp lager brewed with pure northern ingredients.
Today, Lapin Kulta is produced by the Hartwall brewery. While the original brewery in Tornio was closed in 2010, production was moved to Hartwall's modern facility in Lahti, Finland. The 'Pure' variant shown is a specific organic, gluten-free lager designed to meet modern dietary preferences while maintaining the brand's heritage. The brand is currently under the ultimate ownership of Royal Unibrew, a major Danish beverage group that acquired Hartwall to expand its foothold in the Nordic market.
