Platan Jedenáctka is a traditional Czech pale lager brewed in the town of Protivín in Southern Bohemia. The brewery dates back to at least 1598, with its name "Platan" derived from the magnificent avenue of plane trees (platany) leading up to the brewery premises. It is renowned for its classic brewing techniques and high-quality local ingredients.
Today, the brand and the Protivín brewery are part of the Pivovary Lobkowicz Group. While the group has deep roots in Czech history, its ownership structure has seen significant changes, currently falling under the Lapasan company. The brand remains a staple of the South Bohemian brewing region, blending centuries of tradition with modern distribution under its domestic owner.
