Alpro is a pioneering brand in the plant-based food industry, originally founded in Belgium in 1980 by the Vandemoortele Group. The brand quickly became a leader in the European market for soy-based products, focusing on health and sustainability. The packaging shown features the 'Soja No Sugars' variant, which is part of their extensive range of dairy alternatives.
In 2017, Alpro was acquired by Danone, the French multinational food corporation, as part of its acquisition of WhiteWave Foods. This move solidified Danone's position as a global leader in plant-based nutrition. Alpro's manufacturing is distributed across several key facilities in Europe, notably in Wevelgem (Belgium), Issenheim (France), and Kettering (UK), allowing the brand to serve a wide international market while maintaining its European roots.
