Dexter-Russell, Inc. is the largest manufacturer of professional cutlery in the United States. The company’s history dates back to 1818 when Henry Harrington founded Harrington Cutlery Company, and 1834 when John Russell founded Green River Works. The two companies merged in 1933 to form Russell Harrington Cutlery Co., which later became Dexter-Russell.

Today, the brand is widely recognized in the food service and industrial sectors for its high-quality knives and kitchen tools. While they have expanded their product lines, they maintain a significant manufacturing presence in Southbridge, Massachusetts, continuing a tradition of American tool making that spans over two centuries. In 2023, the company was acquired by Blue Point Capital Partners, ensuring its continued operation as a major player in the global professional cutlery market.
