Troika is a classic Norwegian chocolate bar known for its three distinct layers: truffle, marzipan, and raspberry jelly, all encased in dark chocolate. The product was first launched in 1939 by Nidar and has since become one of Norway's most beloved sweets.
The brand originates from Trondheim, Norway, where it was created by the historic Nidar factory. Today, the production still takes place at the Nidar factory in Trondheim. While the brand remains deeply rooted in Norwegian heritage, it is now owned by the Orkla Group, a leading industrial conglomerate in the Nordics. Orkla acquired Nidar through its subsidiary Nidar AS, and subsequently integrated it into the Orkla Confectionery & Snacks division.
