Garoto Baton Chocolate

Baton is a highly popular chocolate brand in Brazil, recognized for its distinctive cylindrical shape resembling a lipstick tube. It was originally created by Chocolates Garoto, a company founded in 1929 in Vila Velha, Espírito Santo, Brazil.

Since 2002, the brand has been under the ownership of Nestlé, the Swiss multinational food and beverage giant. Although the acquisition faced long-term regulatory hurdles with Brazil's Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE), it was definitively approved in 2023. The product continues to be primarily manufactured in Brazil, specifically at the Garoto factory in Vila Velha, maintaining its strong local heritage and identity.
