K-Swiss is a heritage American tennis brand founded in 1966 by two Swiss brothers, Art and Ernie Brunner, in Los Angeles, California. They introduced the first all-leather tennis shoe, the Classic, which became an icon on and off the court. The brand's identity is deeply rooted in California's tennis culture and high-performance craftsmanship.
Over the decades, ownership shifted from the founding family to various global entities. Since 2019, K-Swiss has been under the ownership of Xtep International Holdings Limited, a major Chinese professional sports brand. While the brand maintains its creative and marketing headquarters in the United States to stay true to its roots, the manufacturing operations are largely concentrated in Southeast Asia to leverage large-scale production capabilities.
