Greenchoice is a prominent Dutch sustainable energy provider founded in 2001. Headquartered in Rotterdam, the company focuses exclusively on supplying energy from renewable sources such as wind, solar, and biomass. It was one of the first major players in the Netherlands to provide green energy specifically geared towards households and small businesses.

Over the years, the ownership structure of Greenchoice has evolved. Originally founded by entrepreneurs, it saw significant investment from Eneco. In recent years, the ownership shifted as Eneco sold its stake, and currently, the company is primarily owned by Energie-Nederland Holding (ENH) and the cooperative investment firm Meewind. The energy provided is generated within the Netherlands through various local sustainable projects, including local wind parks and solar installations, reinforcing its commitment to the Dutch domestic green energy transition.
