Birell Světlý non-alcoholic beer

Birell is the leading brand of non-alcoholic beer in the Czech and Slovak markets. Originally launched in the early 1990s, it was born from a collaboration between the Radegast brewery and Swiss experts who developed a unique yeast strain that allows for a natural brewing process without the production of alcohol.

Today, the brand is owned by Plzeňský Prazdroj (Pilsner Urquell), which is a major subsidiary of Asahi Group Holdings. While deeply rooted in Czech brewing tradition and produced primarily at the Radegast brewery in Nošovice, the brand's ultimate ownership lies with the Japanese conglomerate Asahi. Birell has expanded its portfolio significantly over the years to include various flavored variants and functional beverages, maintaining its position as a staple in Central European beverage culture.
