TUC Bake Rolls are a popular crunchy bread-based snack variant of the classic TUC cracker brand. Originally, the TUC brand was born in Belgium in 1958, created by the company Parein. Over decades, through various mergers and acquisitions involving companies like Nabisco and Groupe Danone, the brand became part of the snacking giant Mondelez International.
While the TUC brand itself is Belgian by origin, the "Bake Rolls" line was integrated into the TUC portfolio after Mondelez acquired Chipita S.A., a Greek snacks company known for the 7Days and Bake Rolls brands. Consequently, manufacturing for these specific snacks occurs in multiple countries, often produced in factories across Eastern and Central Europe, including Romania and Bulgaria, to serve the continental market. Today, the brand is owned by Mondelez International, one of the world's largest snack companies headquartered in the United States.
