Milka is one of the world's most recognizable chocolate brands, best known for its iconic lilac packaging and the Milka cow mascot. The brand originated in Switzerland in 1901, founded by Philippe Suchard as a milk chocolate brand utilizing Alpine milk, which remains a core marketing pillar today.

While the brand has Swiss heritage, its production has expanded globally following several corporate acquisitions. Today, the product is manufactured in various European locations, with a significant production hub remaining in Lörrach, Germany. Since 2012, Milka has been owned by the American multinational conglomerate Mondelēz International.
