Cauldron Foods is a leading brand in the meat-free and plant-based food sector, specializing in products like tofu, falafel, and vegetarian sausages. Originally founded in the 1980s by Peter and Lydia Gough in North East England, the brand has grown significantly to become a household name for vegetarians and vegans across Europe and the UK.
Today, Cauldron is manufactured primarily in the United Kingdom, specifically in Stokesley, North Yorkshire. The production facilities are dedicated to high-quality plant-based ingredients, ensuring the brand maintains its reputation for craft-led food innovation. While it started as a small local venture, its operations have scaled to meet international demand while keeping local production at the heart of its business model.
The brand is currently owned by Marlow Foods, which also owns the Quorn brand. Marlow Foods itself is a subsidiary of Monde Nissin Corporation, a major Philippine-based multinational food company. This acquisition has allowed Cauldron to expand its distribution network and sustainable food research initiatives while remaining based out of the UK.
