Cuétara is a traditional Spanish brand with a history dating back to 1935, when it was founded by the Gómez Cuétara brothers in Cantabria, Spain. Over the decades, it became one of the most recognizable names in the Spanish biscuit industry, known for products like María and Campurrianas.

Today, the brand is owned by Adam Foods, a company formed following the division of Nutrexpa in 2015. While the brand has transitioned through different corporate owners, its production remains deeply rooted in Spain, with major manufacturing facilities in Villarejo de Salvanés (Madrid) and Reinosa (Cantabria). Adam Foods continues to manage the brand as part of its extensive portfolio of traditional food products across the Iberian Peninsula.
