Chocorramo

Chocorramo is an iconic Colombian snack consisting of a square slice of vanilla pound cake coated in a signature chocolate-flavored layer. It was created in 1972 by Olimpo López, a master baker at Productos Ramo, and has since become one of the most beloved and recognizable treats in Colombian culture.

The product is manufactured primarily in Colombia at Ramo's production plants in Sabaneta, Mosquera, and Palmira. While the brand has expanded its exports to international markets like the United States and Australia, the core production remains centralized in its home country to maintain the specific texture and flavor profile the brand is known for.

Today, the brand remains under the ownership of Productos Ramo S.A., a family-owned Colombian company. Despite being a major player in the regional food industry and frequently collaborating with global brands like McDonald's (for the Chocorramo McFlurry) and Kellogg's, Ramo has maintained its independence as a national corporate entity.
