Harry’s was founded in 2013 by Jeff Raider and Andy Katz-Mayfield with the goal of providing high-quality shaving products directly to consumers at a fair price. The brand disrupted the traditional market by acquiring the Feintechnik factory in Germany, a facility with over a century of heritage in blade manufacturing, ensuring they controlled the quality of their primary product from the start.
Over the years, Harry’s has expanded beyond razors into a comprehensive grooming brand, offering body washes, deodorants, and facial skincare. While their world-class blades continue to be manufactured in Germany, many of their liquid formulations and secondary grooming products are produced in the United States and other global locations.
Today, Harry’s remains under its parent company, Harry's, Inc. Despite a high-profile attempted acquisition by Edgewell Personal Care in 2020 which was blocked by the FTC, Harry’s has continued to grow as an independent entity. This independence has allowed the brand to maintain its unique identity and direct-to-consumer-focused business model while expanding into major retail partnerships.
