Listerine is one of the world's most recognized brands of antiseptic mouthwash. The brand was originally formulated in the United States in the late 19th century and named after Sir Joseph Lister, a pioneer in antiseptic surgery. Today, the product is manufactured in several global hubs, with many variations found in the Asian market being produced in regional facilities such as Thailand.
The brand has undergone several ownership changes in its history. Long managed by Pfizer and later Johnson & Johnson, the brand is currently under the ownership of Kenvue. Kenvue was established as a result of the separation of Johnson & Johnson’s consumer health division, becoming an independent global leader in consumer health products starting in 2023. This specific variant features a citrus flavor designed for oral germ protection and plaque prevention.
