The Philips 3000 Series is a line of compact bagless vacuum cleaners originally developed by the Dutch technology giant Philips. While Philips has a long history of engineering in the Netherlands, its Domestic Appliances division, which handles personal care and household electronics like this vacuum, underwent a major corporate transition.
In 2021, Royal Philips sold its Domestic Appliances business to Hillhouse Investment, a global private equity firm. This division now operates under the name Versuni, though it continues to use the Philips brand name under a long-term license. Consequently, while the brand's heritage is Dutch, the ultimate ownership is now held by an investment firm headquartered in Asia, and manufacturing for these mass-market appliances is predominantly centered in China to leverage global supply chain efficiencies.
