Jamnica is a premier Croatian brand of carbonated natural mineral water with a history dating back to 1828, when the first bottles were filled at the Janino Vrelo spring in Pisarovina. The water is renowned for its unique mineral composition and long-standing tradition in the Balkan region, often used in culinary contexts such as making the popular 'gemišt' (a mix of white wine and sparkling water).
Today, the brand is owned by the Fortenova Group, a major retail, food, and agriculture conglomerate based in Zagreb, Croatia. Fortenova Group was formed as a successor to the Agrokor company following a restructuring process. Jamnica remains the largest producer of mineral water in Croatia and operates several bottling plants and distribution centers across Southeast Europe, maintaining its position as a market leader in the hydration sector.
