Hoptimist is a classic Danish design brand known for its iconic 'Bimble' and 'Bumble' figurines. Created by woodturner Hans Gustav Ehrenreich in 1968, these bouncy characters were designed to spread joy and optimism through their simple, kinetic movement and bright expressions. Originally produced in Ehrenreich's workshop in Stilling, Denmark, the figures became a staple of Danish modern design during the late 60s and 70s.

After a period of dormancy, the brand was relaunched in 2009 by Lotte Steffensen and Jan Jensen. The products remain deeply rooted in Danish design tradition, with most wood and plastic variants being manufactured in Denmark. Today, the brand is owned by the Danish design group Morsø, which acquired Hoptimist to expand its portfolio of heritage lifestyle brands. The brand continues to operate from Denmark, maintaining the original creative spirit established by Ehrenreich over fifty years ago.
