Unlike many other manufacturers, Kenmore products were typically produced by various Third-party manufacturers (such as Whirlpool, LG, and Janome for sewing machines) and rebranded under the Kenmore name.

Following the financial difficulties of Sears, the Kenmore brand was sold to Transformco (Transform SR Brands LLC), which currently manages the intellectual property. Today, Kenmore sewing machines are primarily manufactured through partnerships with specialized global producers, most notably Janome, and are produced in various locations including Taiwan and Thailand. Despite changes in retail ownership, Kenmore remains a significant name in the domestic appliance market, headquartered in the United States and focused on modern appliance technology.
