Radegast Ryze Hořká 12 is a premium Czech lager known for its characteristically bitter taste and thick head. The brand was founded in 1970 in the brewery located in Nošovice, Czech Republic, and quickly became a staple of the Moravian-Silesian region.
While the brand maintains its traditional brewing methods and deep roots in the Czech Republic, it is currently part of the Plzeňský Prazdroj group. Following a series of international acquisitions in the global beverage industry, Plzeňský Prazdroj and its associated brands, including Radegast, were acquired by the Japanese multinational company Asahi Group Holdings in 2017.
Today, the brand is managed under the Asahi Europe & International division. Despite the international ownership, the production remains centered in its original Czech facilities to preserve the authentic Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status of 'Czech Beer'.
