Schwalbe is a prominent brand specializing in high-quality bicycle tires and inner tubes. Founded in Germany in 1973 by Ralf Bohle, the brand quickly became a market leader in Europe. While the brand is German-designed and headquartered in Reichshof, Germany, the actual manufacturing is a joint venture. Schwalbe products are produced in Indonesia and Vietnam through a long-standing partnership with the Korean company Hung-A.

Ownership remains within the founding family through the company Ralf Bohle GmbH. They are known for their commitment to sustainability, as seen on the packaging which highlights 100% recyclable rubber programs for used inner tubes.
