The Thunder series represents their legacy audio line, specifically designed for desktop PC setups. While the engineering and design of the products take place in Germany, the actual manufacturing is predominantly headquartered in China to leverage mass production efficiency. The brand changed hands in late 2020 when it was acquired by the Berlin-based Jöllenbeck family heirs and restructured under the new corporate identity of Speedlink Development GmbH.

Ownership today lies with the Zeitfracht Group, a large German family-owned conglomerate. This acquisition has integrated Speedlink into a larger logistics and electronics network, ensuring that the brand remains a staple in European electronics retail.
