Today, while the company maintains its Swedish heritage and design philosophy, production is distributed across several European locations to serve international markets efficiently. In 2010, the brand underwent a significant ownership shift when it was acquired by the Slovenian Gorenje Group. Later, in 2018, Hisense, a major multinational electronics corporation from China, became the ultimate owner of Gorenje, thereby integrating ASKO into its extensive global portfolio. This transition has allowed ASKO to leverage large-scale technological research while maintaining its identity as a high-end designer of durable and sustainable home solutions.
