The GilletteLabs Heated Razor is a premium grooming product designed to simulate the experience of a hot towel shave. The brand Gillette was founded by King C. Gillette in 1901 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, and has since become a global leader in shaving technology.

Gillette is currently a subsidiary of Procter & Gamble (P&G), an American multinational consumer goods corporation that acquired the brand in 2005. While the design and engineering of the GilletteLabs line often take place in Gillette's Innovation Center in Germany and the US, the manufacturing of the electronic components and final assembly for the Heated Razor typically occurs in China to meet global distribution needs.
