Wooting is a specialized hardware company widely recognized for inventing the world's first analog mechanical keyboard. Founded by trio Calder Limmen, Erik Stokman, and Jeroen Langelaan, the brand was born out of a desire to bring analog input—common in game controllers—to the PC keyboard market. This innovation allows keys to register how far they are pressed, providing granular control in gaming.

While the brand's design, engineering, and firmware development are handled by the core team in the Netherlands, the hardware is manufactured in specialized facilities in China. Wooting remains an independent, community-driven company. It has notably avoided traditional venture capital to maintain creative control over its products. The brand is owned by its original founders through their Dutch-based entity, Wooting B.V.
