Pantene is one of the world's most recognized hair care brands, originally founded in Switzerland in 1945 by Hoffman-La Roche. The name 'Pantene' refers to the origin of the product, which was based on Panthenol, a pro-vitamin B5 ingredient. The brand quickly gained international fame for its therapeutic properties for hair.
In 1985, the brand was acquired by Procter & Gamble (P&G). Since then, P&G has expanded Pantene into a global powerhouse with manufacturing facilities across many countries, including Brazil, where it serves the local Latin American market. Today, Pantene remains a flagship brand in P&G's extensive portfolio of consumer goods, continuing its legacy of hair health innovation.
