Spreewaldhof is a classic German brand synonymous with preserved vegetables and fruit products, most notably their Spreewald gherkins. The brand is deeply rooted in the Spreewald region of Brandenburg, Germany, which is a protected geographical indication (PGI) for pickles. Manufacturing remains centralized in Golßen, Germany, maintaining a tradition that dates back to the late 19th century.
In late 2021, the brand's parent company, Obst- und Gemüseverarbeitung Spreewaldkonserve Golßen GmbH, was acquired by Andros Deutschland, the German subsidiary of the French-owned Andros Group. This acquisition integrated the traditional regional brand into a larger international fruit-processing portfolio while maintaining its local production identity in Germany.
