Granko is the most famous and iconic brand of soluble cocoa in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It was first introduced to the Czechoslovak market in 1979, with its name being a portmanteau of 'Granulované Kakao' (Granulated Cocoa), chosen through a public competition. The brand quickly became a cultural staple, recognized by its distinct blue packaging and the characteristic polka-dot mug featured in its advertisements.

While originally a product of the state-owned enterprise Čokoládovny Prague, the brand was acquired by Nestlé during the privatization processes of the 1990s. Today, Granko continues to be manufactured at the Sfinx factory in Holešov, Czech Republic. This facility is one of Nestlé's key confectionery production sites in Central Europe, ensuring that despite international ownership, the product maintains its local heritage and production ties to the region.
