Jemča is a prominent Czech tea brand with a long-standing history dating back to 1958, originally founded as a state enterprise in Jemnice. The brand has become synonymous with the traditional Czech tea-drinking culture, specifically known for its wide range of herbal, fruit, and black teas. This specific product, 'Heřmánek,' is a 100% herbal chamomile tea, packaged in convenient tea bags.
Over the decades, the company transitioned through various ownership structures following the privatization era. In 2006, the brand was acquired by Tata Consumer Products (formerly Tata Global Beverages), which integrated it into its international portfolio alongside other famous tea brands. However, in 2020, Tata Consumer Products sold its Czech and Polish tea businesses. Today, Jemča is owned by Dr. Müller Pharma, a Czech-based pharmaceutical company. This acquisition returned the brand to Czech ownership, with production continuing to focus on high-quality herbal blends at its local manufacturing facilities in the Czech Republic.
