Sanicor Zentiva is a pharmaceutical-grade hand disinfectant developed by Zentiva, a prominent European generic pharmaceutical company. The product was notably produced during the global health crisis to meet the increased demand for antiviral hand solutions. It contains an ethanol-based biocidal formula designed for rapid hand disinfection without the need for water.
Zentiva has a deep history rooted in Prague, Czech Republic, where its flagship manufacturing facility is located. For many years, Zentiva was a subsidiary of the French pharmaceutical giant Sanofi. However, in late 2018, the company was acquired by Advent International, a global private equity firm. This transition established Zentiva as an independent leader in the generics market, focusing on production across various European sites with its primary headquarters and historical base remaining in Prague.
